Exceedingly Rare 1956 World Series Championship Ring Owned by Yankees Pitcher Tom Sturdivant — 14K Gold With Large Diamond — With LOA From Sturdivant’s Wife
Scarce Tom Sturdivant 1956 Yankees World Series Championship ring, with a letter of authenticity from Mrs. Elaine Sturdivant. Ring commemorates the Yankees’ prowess on the field that year, including Sturdivant’s complete game that he pitched to defeat the Brooklyn Dodgers 6-2 in Game 4 of the 1956 World Series. Ring features an approximately 3/4 ct. diamond in the center and the Yankees emblem on each of its sides, with “1956” cut into the gold. The inside of the ring shows the legendary player’s full name “Thomas V. Sturdivant” in the band. Near fine condition. Sold for $19,000.

Cincinnati Reds “Big Red Machine” 1976 World Series Ring — Awarded to Longtime National League President Charles “Chub” Feeney — One of The Best Teams Ever
Beautiful 1976 Cincinnati World Series ring awarded to former National League President Charles “Chub” Feeney. Famously nicknamed “The Big Red Machine” and led by Pete Rose and Hall of Famers Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan and Tony Perez, the Reds swept the Yankees in four games en route to their second straight World Series championship. Awarded a World Series ring was National League President Charles “Chub” Feeney, who presided as President during a lengthy period of stability during which the league neither expanded nor relocated a franchise. Manufactured by L.G. Balfour Company, 10kt gold ring features a relief of the World Series trophy with diamond inset, with “Cincinnati Reds / ’76 World Champions” written to the perimeter of the face. Relief of Feeney’s name and “Big Red Machine / NL” appears on right shank, with a relief of “Reds 4 Yanks 0″ and representation of Riverfront Stadium above National League Centennial logo to left shank. Ring measures 0.75” in diameter, and is size 8.5. Near fine. With an LOA from Charles Feeney’s son. Was in our World Series ring auction. Sold for $19,950.

Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Autograph 5″ x 7″ Pre-1928 Photo in Yankee Pinstripes and Wearing Baseball Mitts
Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig autograph photograph. 5″ x 7″ black and white image depicts the two Yankee greats standing side by side on the baseball field wearing their pinstripe pants. Inscribed by Ruth in brown ink at the upper left, “For Walter from, ‘Babe’ Ruth” beside which Gehrig signs in black ink, “& Lou Gehrig”. Small .25″ tear (with no emulsion loss) at top, not affecting either signature, else fine. A difficult to acquire pairing of legendary signatures on a single photograph. A Babe Ruth signature with the quotation marks around “Babe” typifies his pre-1928 autograph and will sell at a higher value as well. Sold for $19,036.

Thurman Munson bat from his MVP season. H&B Louisville Slugger baseball bat signed by Catfish Hunter, Ken Holtzman and Thurman Munson himself. Used during Munson’s 1976 MVP season and taken directly from his locker. Signature model #M169; with fellow New York Yankee, Sandy Alomar’s uniform #2 on both ends. Measures 35″. Moderate to heavy use; uncracked. Autographs graded PSA/DNA 8 and accompanied by Letter of Authenticity. Separate PSA Certificate of Authenticity refers to Munson’s use of the bat “…It is our opinion the bat is authentic and was used by Munson and Sandy Alomar Jr. during the referencing labeling period…” A must-have for all Yankee collectors in excellent condition. One of the greatest pieces of Thurman Munson sports memorabilia ever offered. Sold for $5,830.

Lou Gehrig & Babe Ruth signed baseball. Official League ball signed on the sweet spot with a Babe Ruth autograph in black ink. Additionally signed by fellow “Murderers Row” member, Lou Gehrig on adjacent panel in black ink. Ruth autograph rates PSA 6-7; Gerhrig signature rates PSA 8. Accompanied by PSA/DNA letter of authenticity certifying that the Babe Ruth autograph and the Lou Gehrig autographs are authentic. An exceptional Babe Ruth signed baseball etc. and a must-have for Yankees collectors. Sold for $18,500.

Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig autograph on a baseball. On the sweet spot, Ruth’s black ink penning reveals sizable upper-case “B” and “R” characters. Gehrig signature in black ink on adjacent panel. The presence of Johnson’s facsimile signature, under which penmanship removal can be seen, coupled with the quotation marks around “Babe” (in Ruth’s own hand, of course) likely date the keepsake to 1927, as Johnson was supplanted by Barnard in 1928, the same year Ruth abandoned the use of quotation marks. The medium-toned sphere features prominent stampings and vibrant, alternating red and blue laces. Accompanied by Letters of Authenticity from PSA/DNA and James Spence Authentication attesting that the Babe Ruth autograph is authentic. Sold for $10,470.

Team signed baseball by the 1937 New York Yankees, who would win the World Series that year. Features 26 signatures, including Lou Gehrig on the sweet spot and Hall of Famers Tony Lazzeri, Charles “Red” Ruffing and Bill Dickey. Also signed by Jake Powell, Myril Hoag, Red Rolfe, Bump Hadley, Tom Henrich, George Selkirk, Johnny Murphy, Frank Makosky, Joe Glenn, Coach Johnny Schulte, Jack Saltzgaver, Paul Andrews, Kemp Wicker, Paul Schreiber, Art Jorgens, Don Heffner, Monte Pearson and Joe Vance. Four of the signatures are clubhouse: Joe DiMaggio, Lefty Gomez, Manager Joe McCarthy and Pat Malone. In good condition with overall toning to the ball, though nearly every signature still remains dark and legible. Accompanied by JSA COA, including an authentication report showing where each player signed on the ball. Sold for $2,835.

The 1937 season featured the Yankees World Series championship over the rival New York Giants and was the first World Series played without any errors by the winning team. Additionally, 1937 was the last year Lou Gehrig would play unaffected by the medical condition eventually named after him. An extraordinary Yankees collectible in excellent condition.
