I thought I should write just to keep in touch and also because I Love You very much. I’m also writing you because I can’t [sic] you no more until I finish paying for my tremendous phone bill I had a long time ago. Well to get on with my love letter. (smile) Laquetta, sweetheart I miss you so much that I can’t even explain how much I miss you. My feeling for you simply boils over. The sooner I see you the sooner I will cool off. I want you to know that when I called you today and you were [sic] that boy. I could have cry because my heart just fail to pump anymore. You hurt me just talking to another boy especially that boy. I hope you can catch my drift…I know that you are a friendly and straight forward but don’t be too much of the two. Well I am not writing to fuss at you but to tell you how I care for you. Laquetta, I know at first I wasn’t too happy about the idea of becoming interested in a young lady this far away from me but all of this has changed. My feeling for you has changed tremendously. Well I must go but not without saying ‘I Love You.’ Sincerely Yours Sweetheart / Michael Jordan / P.S. I hope you like my beautiful handwriting. Also I have included a poem of growth. Write back soon or call”. Accompanied by an image of Jordan and his girlfriend at their high school prom.
