Charles Schulz original hand-drawing of Snoopy, signed by Schulz. Illustration of Snoopy in a ranger’s hat and backpack was used for a poster to promote the ”Open Nature” concert on 27 April 1999, with members of the Grateful Dead playing. Drawing is accompanied by the concert poster, signed by Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart and by Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar. Illustration of Snoopy is complemented by a nature scene of mountains and trees, drawn by Brooks Anderson, and signed ”Brooks ’99”. Lot also includes a laminated pass to the event, also showing the illustration of Snoopy. Schulz illustration measures 8” x 10” inside of black frame measuring 12.5” x 14.5”. Poster measures 13” x 19.5” inside of gold frame measuring 17.5” x 22”. Near fine.

Watkins Glen “Summer Jam” Concert Poster — Allman Brothers Band, Grateful Dead & The Band — First Printing
Original and scarce first printing of the “Summer Jam” Concert poster, which took place 28 July 1973 at the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Raceway in New York. Poster measures 16.25″ x 22.5″ with colorful, psychedelic nymph-like imagery, including the iconic Grateful Dead skull and roses insignia. Reads in part: “…The Grateful Dead plus friends & surprises. Saturday, July 28 from 12 noon on / Tickets: $10 includes parking & camping…” With “Scoop Printing Co.” printed at lower right, indicating it as a first printing. Near fine. Sold for $1,903.

Grateful Dead Contract Signed — Signed by Six Members Including Jerry Garcia
Grateful Dead contract signed by six members of the eclectic and legendary band that defies classification. Last page of fourteen page contract is signed in order, “Jerry Garcia”, “Mickey Hart”, “Bill Kreutzmann”, “Phil Lesh”, “Brent Mydland” and “Bob Weir”. Undated, though likely in the 1980’s when Brent Mydland played with the band. Single page is in near fine condition with filing holes to left margin and staple marks to upper left corner. Sold for $1,883.
1966 Grateful Dead Concert Poster
The Grateful Dead concert poster, datelined 16-17 September 1966, Avalon Ballroom, San Francisco. Poster’s third printing, measuring 14″ x 20,” pre-dates The Dead’s 1967 self-titled debut album. Contains wicked illustration by Mouse featuring The Dead’s skeleton mascot surrounded by dozens of blooming roses. Original concert bill takes the viewer back to the days when the San Francisco clan of Jerry Garcia (lead guitar, vocals), Bob Weir (rhythm guitar), Ron “Pigpen” McKernan (organ, vocals), Phil Lesh (bass), and Bill Kreutzmann (on drums) ruled the roost as the ultimate jam band. Excellent memento from the cosmic group’s hometown concert, during which they performed Bob Dylan’s “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue,” the Cropper/Pickett hit “In The Midnight Hour,” and the Dead classic “I Know You Rider.” Bright red, white and blue color scheme, corner wear, overall mint. Sold for $858.
David Crosby’s Own Gibson ES-335 Guitar — From His Days in “The Byrds”
David Crosby’s personally owned and played Gibson guitar, used by Crosby in “The Byrds,” one of the most influential bands of the 1960’s. Crosby’s role in “The Byrds” from the iconic group’s formation in 1964 until his departure in 1967 garnered him his first of two inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Guitar is the widely recognized Gibson ES-335, with a Bigsby Vibrato tailpiece tremolo. Dating to 1958, this model was the first electric guitar to introduce the semi-hollow body design. Neck is one-piece mahogany beneath a rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays. Measures 16.5″ wide, 20″ long, and 1.75″ deep. Housed in a black hardshell case lined in orange velvet. Scattered nicks and bumping to top of headstock, else near fine. With an LOA from David Crosby. Sold for $25,428.
Jon Bon Jovi Stage Played & Signed Acoustic-Electric Guitar
Jon Bon Jovi’s guitar, played onstage by Jon in Dallas on 10 April 2010 during Bon Jovi’s Circle Tour, and signed in gold marker by him. Takamine acoustic-electric guitar is serial #08120413, housed in Takamine hard-shell guitar case. Lot also includes a Bon Jovi backstage pass from their April 10th Dallas performance, as well as a photo of Bon Jovi playing this guitar in Dallas, and a 10” x 8” signed photo. Some light scuffing to body, more so on back, but overall near fine. Accompanied by paperwork from JBJ Soul Foundation. A fantastic rock collectible. Sold for $18,750.
Eddie Van Halen Personally Designed, Stage Played & Signed Guitar
Eddie Van Halen personally designed (hand-striped) custom guitar, owned and played onstage by Eddie at the 30 January 2008 show in Little Rock, Arkansas. Charvel guitar is signed by Eddie in silver marker, with the Little Rock concert date also written by him as well as ”Van Halen / 2008”. In custom EVH (Eddie Van Halen) Charvel guitar case measuring 41.5” x 15” x 4”, and with COA signed by Eddie Van Halen. Near fine condition. A fantastic rock collectible personally designed, played and signed by one of the greatest guitar players of all time. Sold for $15,000.

INXS Fender Guitar Used During ”X” Tour in 1991 — With LOA From Bassist Garry Beers
Late 1970s/early 1980s Fender Japan Thinline guitar used by INXS bassist, Garry Beers, during ”X” tour in 1991. 5-string guitar has 2 volume/tone knobs and a shiny white pickguard. Measures 39” in length with 13” wide body. Comes housed in black case with black velvet lining. Guitar weighs 6 lbs. 9 oz. Accompanying picture from the book ”INXS The Official Story of a Band on the Road” shows Beers playing guitar backstage with Michael Hutchence during ”X” tour. Near fine condition.
