Joan Crawford’s hero dress from her magnum opus, “Mildred Pierce”. Joan Crawford currently ranks in the American Film Institute’s top ten actresses in the history of cinema. Polka-dot dress is worn by Crawford in the film’s promotional posters, in a still captured from the scene in the beginning of the film when she goes on a date, set at the Malibu beach house of her scheming beau Monte Beragon. Rayon dress, originally white, has since been dyed to a flesh tone color, with polka dots in a darker nude shade. Design features a slightly A-line cut shirt, long sleeves, pleated bodice and square neckline flanked by a simple bow on either side. A Warner Bros. Pictures label is sewn into the placket and has a hand note, “B – 2nd Dress / 18905-638”. Written inside the top in black felt tip is the note, “TBS / 209”. Dress fastens up the back and at the waistline with alternating snaps and hook-and-eye closures, also found at the cuffs. Discreet side zipper is placed over the hip. Likely altered for use in a later Warner Brothers film, dress measures 17.75″ from underarm to underarm, with 21″ sleeve and a petite 11″ across the waist. Original self-belt is absent; dress is accompanied by later grosgrain belt in brown with a cream stripe through the center. Scattered pinholes and stray threads, else near fine. A stunning piece worn by Crawford in her triumphant comeback role, where she delivered what is considered one of the Best Actress performances of all time. Provenance from Warner Brothers. Sold for $27,500.
Leonardo DiCaprio Signature Wardrobe from the 1997 Epic “Titanic” — Corduroy Trousers & Knit Shirt
Wardrobe made for Leonardo DiCaprio’s character the 1997 epic “Titanic”. Two-piece ensemble comprises (1) an oversize putty color long-sleeved cotton shirt with a bib detail of tan striped fabric. Measures 24″ across the chest. Light pilling, else near fine. (2) bronze corduroy trousers made by Dominic Gherardi, custom tailor for the movie, labeled “Leonardo DiC / Jack #2”. Trousers close with a button fly and waistband features buttons for suspenders. “Leonardo” label has detached from tailor’s label, else near fine. Costume has the original Fox Studio hang tags. Also accompanied by wardrobe department’s tag. Sold for $23,116.
Robert Downey, Jr. screen-worn hero wardrobe from ”Iron Man”. Downey starred in the 2008 live action film as the eponymous Marvel Comics character, whose everyday alter ego is billionaire Tony Stark. Three-piece wardrobe comprises a grey cotton tank top by Calvin Klein in size M and two pairs of grey corduroy trousers by G-Star Raw in size 32 x 32 and 33 x 32 respectively. Near fine. With a Marvel COA and hologram. Sold for $3,691.

Jeff Bridges’ Suit From Blockbuster Movie “Iron Man”
Jeff Bridges’ suit from the blockbuster movie “Iron Man.” Bridges plays Obadiah Stane, a loyal ally of Tony Stark who turns evil. Bridges wears this stylish outfit in the deleted scene when Obadiah addresses the Stark Industries scientists in Sector 16 as they work on the Iron Monger project. Complete five piece lot features: (1) wool gray/tan pin striped Ermenegildo Zenga jacket (54 long) with matching slacks (size 31); (2) striped blue and white Boss dress shirt (size 16.5, 34/35); (3) black Brooks Brothers belt (size 38); (4) black cotton/poly Calvin Klein socks; (5) blue dotted Zenga silk tie. Includes a black Chipp Clothiers garment bag. Near fine. With a COA from Marvel. Sold for $2,520.

Iron Man Production-Used Clapperboard
Production-used clapperboard from the 2008 blockbuster, ”Iron Man”, starring Robert Downey, Jr. as wealthy industrialist Tony Stark who builds an armored suit to fight evil. Classic clapperboard has ”Iron Man / Director: Jon Favreau / Camera Matthew Libatique ASC” printed. Nicely matted in plush red velvet with ”Clapperboard used in production of Iron Man” printed to velvet. Clapperboard measures 11” x 9.5” and is framed in a shadowbox to an overall size of 18.5” x 25”. Frame is split at lower right corner causing back of frame to become loose. Can be repaired. Else, very good. With a Movie Prop Warehouse COA. Sold for $1,875.

Signed ”Iron Man 3” movie poster given out at the 2013 Hollywood premiere. This fantastic double-sided poster features an impressive array of cast and crew signatures including stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley, along with directors Shane Black and Jon Favreau, and legendary creator of the comic book Stan Lee. The dramatic image shows Downey in his armor suit, on one knee, ready to spring into action, while the robotic Iron Men soar into the air behind him. At the bottom of the poster, there’s a hologram ”Marvel Authentic Autographed Memorabilia” stamp, with the face of Iron Man. Also includes a letter from Marvel & Paramount Pictures mentioning this signed limited edition poster is only 1 of 50 given out on 24 April 2013. Measures 27” x 40”. Near fine. Sold for $1,290.

”Iron Man” Lab Coat — Worn By ”Stark Industries” Scientists in The 2008 Blockbuster Movie
Lab coat from the blockbuster ”Iron Man,” starring Robert Downey Jr. as wealthy industrialist Tony Stark who builds an armored suit to fight evil. This white lab coat (size L) features ”Stark Industries” embroidered over the left chest pocket, and was worn by the movie scientists in two different scenes: where Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges) tries to figure out how to miniaturize the Arc Reactor, and the Iron Monger suit being built in Sector 16.
