Game-Used Baseball From the Game Where Pete Rose Broke Ty Cobb’s Hitting Record! — With PSA/DNA COA
Baseball used in the record-breaking game in which Pete Rose broke Ty Cobb’s record of 4,192 hits. Playing for the Cincinnati Reds, Rose hit a single to left-center field off San Diego Padres pitcher Eric Show. Official ”Rawlings” game ball is signed and inscribed by Lee Weyer, the umpire during the game: ”This ball was used in game September 11, 1985 when Pete Rose broke Ty Cobb’s record of 4,192 hits / To JR, Good Luck Always, Lee Weyer N.L. Umpire (#23)”. Mild toning, else near fine. With PSA/DNA COA authenticating Weyer’s signature. Sold for $1,720.

Babe Ruth hand signed National League baseball. Spalding ball is signed with a steel-tip blue fountain pen, ”Sincerely / Babe Ruth”. Ball also has the stamped signature of Ford Frick, National League President from 1934-1951. Ball has some scuffing and toning throughout, slightly affecting two letters of Ruth’s signature, overall very good condition. With JSA COA. Sold for $6,875.
Rube Marquard Single-Signed Baseball — Marquard Also Writes, ”Member of the Baseball Hall Of Fame”
Hall of Famer Rube Marquard single-signed baseball, penned in blue felt-tip, ”To David Bosley From Rube Marquard” with Marquard also handwriting, ”A Member of the Baseball Hall Of Fame At Cooperstown New York”. Red stitched baseball was acquired by the recipient in Baltimore as a neighbor of the famed pitcher. Mild discoloration to ball, overall very good condition. Sold for $938.
