1914 Tristram Speaker, Outfielder, Boston Red Sox Cracker Jack card. Number 65. Handsome card with image and statistics on the “Grey Eagle.” In 1916, Speaker finally ended Ty Cobb’s amazing run of nine consecutive American League batting titles by averaging .386 to Cobb’s .371. Speaker’s contract for $40,000 when he was traded to the Cleveland Indians was the highest in baseball at the time. He continued to average more than .350 for ten of the next 11 years.
