Considered one of the greatest offensive and defensive center fielders in the history of Major League Baseball (MLB), he compiled a career batting average of .345 (sixth all-time). His 792 career doubles represent an MLB career record. His 3,514 hits are fifth in the all-time hits list. Defensively, Speaker holds career records for assists, double plays, and unassisted double plays by an outfielder. His fielding glove was known as the place “where triples go to die.

1914 Tristram Speaker, Outfielder, Boston Red Sox Cracker Jack card. Number 65. Handsome card with image and statistics on the “Grey Eagle.” In 1916, Speaker finally ended Ty Cobb’s amazing run of nine consecutive American League batting titles by averaging .386 to Cobb’s .371. Speaker’s contract for $40,000 when he was traded to the Cleveland Indians was the highest in baseball at the time. He continued to average more than .350 for ten of the next 11 years. Grade PSA 5. Signature is faded, though still visible. Accompanied by a PSA/DNA COA. An outstanding Babe Ruth collectible in very good condition. Sold for $10,208.

Babe Ruth hand signed National League baseball. Spalding ball is signed with a steel-tip blue fountain pen, ”Sincerely / Babe Ruth”.
