Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Autograph 5″ x 7″ Pre-1928 Photo in Yankee Pinstripes and Wearing Baseball Mitts
Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig autograph photograph. 5″ x 7″ black and white image depicts the two Yankee greats standing side by side on the baseball field wearing their pinstripe pants. Inscribed by Ruth in brown ink at the upper left, “For Walter from, ‘Babe’ Ruth” beside which Gehrig signs in black ink, “& Lou Gehrig”. Small .25″ tear (with no emulsion loss) at top, not affecting either signature, else fine. A difficult to acquire pairing of legendary signatures on a single photograph. A Babe Ruth signature with the quotation marks around “Babe” typifies his pre-1928 autograph and will sell at a higher value as well. Sold for $19,036.

Willie Mays 1966 San Francisco Giants Uniform Home Pants, Game-Worn — From the Larry Jansen Estate
San Francisco Giants home uniform pants from the 1966 season, game-worn by Willie Mays. Of the 660 home runs in Mays career, chances are these pants were worn for many of his home runs in their time. Cream-colored pants have a thin orange and navy stripe down the side of each pant leg. Three “MacGregor” brand tags are sewn into waist, including a “MacGregor Set 2 1966” tag. Mays name is also stitched in cursive: “Mays / 24 33 26”, as his uniform number, “24” and measurements, 33″ x 26″. The numbers “24” and “60” are also written in faded marker along the waist inseam. A few stains on the pants. Near fine. From the Larry Jansen estate. Sold for $2,623.
