MARGARET THATCHER PERSONALLY OWNED DRESS, A VIVID 1980S BLUE SILK PARTY DRESS

Margaret Thatcher personally owned silk dress, likely from the 1980s worn by the Prime Minister while in office. The smart sapphire blue custom-made silk party dress features a subtle flower pattern, with tiering in the back and on the side, a braided collar, bow detailing in front, and two side pockets. Back has self-covered buttons above the zipper, with a hook-and-eye closure at top. No size listed, but approximate medium-large. Measures approximately 48″ long and 30″ around the waist. Light wear, including cosmetic stains on inside of collar, overall very good condition. An attractive, colorful and luxurious dress, befitting a Prime Minister. Price: $5,000

Holy Bible personally owned by Margaret Thatcher, with gilt embossing bearing her name. Bible was presented to Thatcher by the Bible Pathway Ministries on 25 July 1989, during her Prime Ministership, and features gilt embossing to front cover reading ”The Right Honorable Margaret Thatcher, M.P.” Softcover Bible additionally has gilt lettering to spine, with all edges gilt. Nashville: Thomas Nelson Publishers, 1985. Measures 6.5” x 9.5”, in near fine condition. With Christie’s provenance. Sold for $1,750.
