”Mary Poppins” artwork signed by its stars, Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke, #6 in a limited HC edition of 15, intended for private distribution. Produced by Walt Disney Art Classics, this cel set-up entitled ”Tea Time With Mary” depicts scene 62 of the film, made from the original Disney animation drawings. Released in 1964, ”Mary Poppins” earned immediate acclaim, was nominated for 13 Academy Awards and took home five, including ”Best Picture”, ”Best Actress” for Julie Andrews and ”Best Visual Effects”; it was the only Disney film to win ”Best Picture” in Walt Disney’s lifetime. Artwork measures 17.25” x 11”, matted and framed by Disney to a size of 27” x 20.75”. With original Disney paperwork sealed in pouch on back of frame. Near fine condition. Sold for $5,000.

Ray Bradbury’s personally owned ”Alice in Wonderland” Disney animation cel. Art from the classic 1951 film features a wide-eyed Alice encountering the living pair of eyeglasses. Hand-painted characters are cut out precisely and mounted to an illustrated background. Alice measures 4.5” x 5.25”. Glasses measure 5.5” x 4”. Background measures 13” x 11”, matted to an overall size of 19” x 18”. Toning to mat and a small smudge to Alice’s cheek, else near fine. With Disney COA stamp to right corner and Disney COA sticker to verso. With a COA from the Ray Bradbury estate. Sold for $8,319.
”The Sound of Music” sheet music signed by the cast of the hit 1965 film, most notably Julie Andrews. Signed on the front cover by Andrews and all seven children, around a stylized photo of the family: ”Julie Andrews”, ”Charmian Carr”, ”Nicholas Hammond”, ”Heather Menzies”, ”Duane Chase / ‘Kurt”’, ”Angela Cartwright / ‘Brigitta”’, ”Debbie Turner / Marta”, and ”Kym Karath”. 11pp. sheet music for ”Maria” measures 9” x 12”. Collection of ”Mary Poppins” movie premiere items, including an original program signed by Dick Van Dyke from the 27 August 1964 premiere of the film held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Includes: (1) A commemorative, oversize 11” x 11” 10pp. program honoring the film and detailing each of the actors and the film’s production. Signed ”Dick Van Dyke” in blue ink on page one. (2) Two 5” x 5” sherbert-colored paper napkins with print reading, ”Technicolor salutes Marry Poppins”. (3) A 3” x 4.25” parking pass for the premiere of the film and a secondary (4) 6” x 4” police pass to place on the windshield of car. (5) Official Technicolor pink invitation to the premiere of the film with a champagne toast reception following the premiere. Card-style invitation on 3pp., front and verso, measures 6” x 9”.
