John F. Kennedy was the 35th president of the U.S. beginning in 1961 until his assassination in 1963. Prior to his presidency he served in the House of Representatives and as a Senator for Massachusetts. Kennedy’s presidency was during the peak of the Cold War and much of his presidency involved handling relations between Cuba and the Soviet Union. He’s remembered for how he managed the Cuban missile crisis of 1962 averting a potential nuclear war with the Soviet Union. As part of Kennedy’s New Frontier policies the Peace Corp was established in 1961. Kennedy was also an ardent supporter of keeping the U.S. in the Space Race and created the goal of “landing a man on the Moon by the end of this decade and returning him safely to the Earth”.

John F. Kennedy Personal Credit Card — From the Robert L. White JFK Collection Purchased From Evelyn Lincoln
Scarce item personally owned by President John F. Kennedy, a Giant Food “courtesy credit card.” Unsigned card measures 3.25″ x 2″ and is embossed at bottom “John F Kennedy” with an identifying number “A 125 967-0”. Originally from the Robert L. White collection of John F. Kennedy memorabilia, which White acquired directly from the estate of Kennedy’s longtime secretary, Evelyn Lincoln. Near fine condition. Sold for $808.

John & Jackie Kennedy’s Pewter Salt & Pepper Shakers
Pair of salt and pepper shakers owned and used by John F. and Jackie Kennedy. Salt shaker opens by its removable top and the pepper shaker is a grinder, also refillable via the top. Pewter shakers measure 2.25” in height and 1.75” in diameter. Light tarnishing to both pieces. Some rusting to underside of pepper mill and shallow dents to salt shaker rim, else near fine. With provenance from the Sotheby’s auction of Property from the Kennedy Family Homes, held in New York, 15-17 February 2005. This was part of lot 183 and includes the original Sotheby’s tag. Sold for $1,000.
Flat-Woven Area Rug Owned by Jackie and John F. Kennedy
John F. and Jackie Kennedy owned area rug. Flat-woven rug in cream, periwinkle, black, mauve and seafoam green features a simple geometric line pattern and fringed edges on the short sides. Used in the ”Winter White House” in Palm Beach, Florida. Measures 73” x 50”. Near fine. Sold for $938.
