Rare signed photo of William Taft as President and his cabinet, circa 1912. With ten signatures in total on the mount including Taft’s, signed “Wm H Taft” and: Secretary of State Philander C. Knox, Secretary of War, Henry L. Stimson, Secretary of the Treasury Franklin MacVeagh, Secretary of Commerce & Labor Charles Negel, Attorney General George R. Wickersham, Secretary of the Navy George L. Meyer, Secretary of the Interior Walter L. Fisher, Secretary of Agriculture James Wilson and Postmaster General Frank H. Hitchcock. Harris & Ewing photograph measures 13″ x 9.5″ on a 14″ x 11″ mount. Some silvering to darker portions of the photgraph, else very good condition. Sold for $1,500.

Impressive signed portrait photograph of the Earl Warren Supreme Court, circa 1955. Signed by each justice in pen on the border of the photo, from left to right, “Felix Frankfurter”, “Hugo L Black”, “Earl Warren”, “Stanley Reid”, “W O Douglas”, “Sherman Minton”, “Harold H Burton”, “Thomas Clark” and “J Marshall Harlan”. These nine justices served together for two years and issued critical decisions on business law and income taxation. With photography studio mark “Ackad / Washington” to lower right corner. Matte photograph printed on cardstock measures 14″ x 10.75″. Near fine condition with only light smudging to Douglas’ signature. Sold for $2,507.

All nine of 1947’s U.S. Supreme Court Justices sign this matte photo taken by Harris & Ewing. The signatures of ”Felix Frankfurter”, ”Hugo L. Black”, ”Stanley Reed”, ”William O. Douglas”, ”Wiley Rutledge”, ”Frank Murphy”, ”Robert H. Jackson”, ”Harold Burton” and Chief Justice ”Fred M. Vinson” are inked in black on the image’s border. Vinson mended the rift between Frankfurter and Black, and together this Court decided law in the areas of unionized labor, race and communism. Measures 11.25” x 11.5”. Near fine. Sold for $2,384.

Early 1980’s Burger Supreme Court color photo autographed by all nine Justices. Features the signatures of Chief Justice Warren E. Burger, Thurgood Marshall, William H. Rehnquist, John Paul Stevens, Byron R. White, William J. Brennan, Jr., Sandra Day O’Connor, Lewis F. Powell, Jr., and Harry A. Blackmun. Mounted photo, measures 13.5″ x 10″ and 18″ x 14″ matted. Signatures on mat, with respective autographs appearing under each Justice’s photo placement. A unique item signed by the entire Supreme Court led by Burger. Fine condition. Sold for $1,198.
