Sell Your 1969 Topps Johnny Bench #430 PSA 10

Johnny Bench is a retired professional baseball catcher who was played for the Cincinnati Reds between 1967 and 1983. Prior to his MLB debut, he played two seasons in the minor leagues for the Buffalo Bisons. Bench impressed many with his defense and strong throwing when he began playing for the Reds. He was awarded the National League’s Rookie of the Year in 1968 after finishing his first full season with the Reds becoming the first catcher to win the honor.

Bench retired from baseball in 1983 after playing 17 seasons with the Reds, who were World Series Champions two times in those years. He was a two-time National League Most Valuable Player and 14-time All Star. Bench’s career batting average was .267 with 2,048 hits. With ten grand slam home runs, he is the current record holder for the most grand slams by a catcher. Bench was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989.
