Sell Your Charles Nungesser Autograph
Charles Nungesser is often considered the rival of Charles Lindbergh as he attempted to make the first non-stop transatlantic flight from Paris and New York with his co-pilot François Coli in May of 1927. Nungesser was an accomplished French World War I ace pilot and military captain and Coli was a pilot and navigator who made several record-setting distance flights and had previously lost an eye in a crash during World War I. Nungesser and Coli were last seen in their plane, L’Oiseau Blanc, over Ireland and are thought to have crashed around Maine or Newfoundland, although their disappearance is still considered a great aviation mystery. A memorial in Étretat honors Nungesser and Coli and a street and statue in Paris have been created in their honor.

Charles Nungesser Autographed 8×10 Signed Photo
Autographed 8×10 signed photo of French ace Charles Nungesser, who was killed in May 1927 while trying to fly across the Atlantic. This particular publicity photo was taken in June of 1926, and is boldly signed, inscribed, and dated by Nungesser. Signature is dark and clear, but since it is signed on a dark portion of the photograph, the signature does not show up well in the photo here. Sold for $1,175.
