1959 Boston Celtics Autographs Sold at Auction
The 1958 – 1959 season for the Boston Celtics was the team’s second year as NBA Champions and their 13th year in the NBA. Their 1959 victory kicked off an eight year championship streak for the Celtics that lasted until 1966. The 1959 Celtics roster included basketball superstar Bill Russell, who has won the most NBA championships of any player and is a twelve-time NBA all-star.

1959 signed photo of the world champion Boston Celtics. Signatures in ball point pen present upon each players’ respective image. Signed as team members, included from back row, left to right: “Buddy” Le Roux (Trainer), K.C. Jones, Lou Tsioropoulos, Tom Heinsohn, Ben Swain, Jim Loscutoff, Sam Jones, Frank Ramsey. From front row, left to right: Gene Conley, Bob Cousy, Arnold “Red” Auerbach (Coach), Bill Sharman and Bill Russell. President Walter A. Brown is pictured without autographing. Title under photo in clear blue ink reads “Boston Celtics – 1959 World Champions”, followed by list of names in order of appearance. Black and white photograph measures 14″ x 11″, overall frame measures 20.5″ x 17.25″. Slight but even toning throughout photo, otherwise fine condition. With PSA/DNA COA. Sold for $2,018.

Unique 1954 Wilt “Stilt” Chamberlain Personally-Owned Trophy — Won as an 18-Year-Old While Working a Summer Job
One-of-a-kind trophy presented to NBA legend, Wilt Chamberlain. This beautiful 30″ tall figural trophy is engraved: “Presented To Wilt ‘Stilt’ Chamberlain, For Outstanding Character, Ability, Teamplay Displayed, His ‘FAYS’ Teammates [followed by 11 names]”. In 1954, Chamberlain worked during his summers as a bellhop in a Catskill’s resort named Kutsher’s Country Club, which fielded an employee basketball team called the “FAYS” (coached by Joe Fay) and where Boston Celtics Coach Red Auerbach spotted Chamberlain and tried to recruit him. A rare trophy in very good condition. Sold for $2,500.
