Elvin Hayes 1977-78 14 Carat Gold Washington Bullets Ring Obtained Directly from Him, Who is One of the 50th Greatest Players in NBA History

1977-78 Washington Bullets NBA 14kt. gold Championship Ring belonging to Elvin Hayes. 75 point diamond on top of the ring is surrounded by “N. B. A. World Champions”. “Hayes”, “bullets” and “the fat lady sings” appear on one side, with the NBA logo and “1978” appearing on the other. Inside is stamped “Balfour 14K” along with his “E.E.H” initials engraved. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Hayes. Obtained directly from Hayes.  Sold for $82,500.

Elvin Hayes Hall of Fame Induction Ring, Obtained Directly from Him, Who is One of the 50th Greatest Players in NBA History

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame ring awarded to Elvin Hayes upon his induction in 1990. 10kt. gold Jostens ring. The square-shaped ring features a diamond set atop a red back stone with ”Basketball Hall of Fame” engraved to gold surrounding stones. One side has ‘year of his induction, ‘1990” engraved above two basketball players in relief. Opposite side has ”Elvin Hayes” engraved above the Hall of Fame official logo. Ring weighs approximately 34 grams or 1.25 oz. Fine condition. With a COA from Hayes. Obtained from Hayes directly. Sold for $56,250.

Chet ”The Jet” Walker’s Hall of Fame Ring — Fine

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame ring awarded to Chet Walker upon his 7 September 2012 induction. Walker’s niche in the NBA is a distinctive one: the agile forward was named to the first ever all-rookie NBA team and won the 1967 NBA Championship as part of the team widely considered the greatest of all time, the 1967 Philadelphia 76ers. Walker’s career then continued to impress, and the champion athlete concluded his career playing with the Chicago Bulls his last six seasons, scoring a total of 18,831 points in his epic career. After retiring as an athlete Walker authored an autobiography, ”Long Time Coming: A Black Athlete’s Coming-Of-Age in America” and then became a successful producer in Hollywood. Walker was formally inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame on 7 September 2012 in Springfield, Massachusetts. 10k gold Jostens ring. The square-shaped ring features a diamond set atop a red back stone with ”Basketball Hall of Fame” engraved to gold surrounding stones. One side has ”Walker” engraved above two basketball players in relief. Opposite side has the year ”2012” engraved above the Hall of Fame official logo. Includes original Jostens black box and tags. Ring is size 19 and weighs 34 grams or 1.25 oz and has the tiniest scuff, though unnoticeable, else fine condition. Obtained directly from Chet Walker and with a Letter of Authenticity from him. Sold for $49,555.

Bernard King’s Basketball Hall of Fame Ring

Bernard King ring from his induction into the prestigious Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The NBA star and four-time all-star played as small forward for the New Jersey Nets, Utah Jazz, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks and the Washington Bullets. A top scorer, King averaged 32.9 points per game during the 1984-85 season as one of the New York Knicks, more than any other player in the NBA that year. Large ring features a central round cut clear rhinestone, flanked by gold laurel sprigs on a bed of transparent red, possibly glass. On the sides are King’s name, a vignette of basketball players, the year 2013 and the Hall of Fame logo, underscored by 5 stars. Within is a 10k gold mark. Some scratching, else near fine. With an LOA signed by Bernard King. Sold for $40,625.

Seattle SuperSonics 1979 Championship Ring

1978-79 Seattle SuperSonics NBA 14kt. gold Championship ring won by player John Johnson. Along with the Seahawks Super Bowl win in 2014, this Sonics win over the Washington Bullets in the 1979 series has been the only men’s professional sports championship won by Seattle. It remains the only basketball championship won by the city, secured in an upset over the Bullets in a rematch of the 1978 series. 75 point diamond on top of the ring is surrounded by “N. B. A. WORLD CHAMPIONS”. “JOHNSON”, “SEATTLE SUPERSONICS” and a green Seattle skyline, featuring the Seattle Space Needle, appear on one side, with the NBA logo and “1979” appearing on the other. Inside is engraved “Balfour 14K”. Ring is size 12. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Johnson’s son, obtained directly from him. Sold for $39,900.

Chet ”The Jet” Walker’s NBA Championship Ring From 1967

NBA championship ring awarded to Chet Walker upon the Philadelphia 76ers’ victory in the 1967 championship game. The team widely considered the greatest of all time won the final against the San Francisco Warriors. Walker, an agile forward was named to the first ever all-rookie NBA team and was formally inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame on 7 September 2012. After retiring as an athlete Walker authored an autobiography, ”Long Time Coming: A Black Athlete’s Coming-Of-Age in America” and then became a successful producer in Hollywood. Heavy gold square-shaped ring features a diamond, set centrally into a red stone with ”Philadelphia World Champions” inscribed to the setting. To the left of center is the team logo ”76” and Walker’s name. Opposite is an NBA logo and the year 1967, with record of ”Won 68 Lost 13”. Ring in 14kt gold is size 13.5. Weighs 32 grams. Near fine. Obtained directly from Chet Walker and with an LOA from him. Sold for $34,375.

Jamaal Wilkes’ Hall of Fame Ring Obtained Directly from Him — Fine

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame ring awarded to Jamaal Wilkes upon his 7 September 2012 induction. Known for his defensive prowess, solid rebounding skills and deadly jump shot, Wilkes won four NBA championship rings in a career that spanned from 1975 to 1984. A member of the famous ”Showtime” Los Angeles Lakers squad of the early 1980s, Wilkes had his number retired by the team on 28 December 2012. Wilkes was formally inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame on 7 September 2012 in Springfield, Massachusetts. 10k gold Jostens ring is square-shaped, featuring a diamond set atop a red back stone with ”Basketball Hall of Fame” engraved in gold surrounding the stones. One side has ”Wilkes” engraved above two basketball players in relief. Opposite side has the year ”2012” engraved above the Hall of Fame official logo. Includes original Jostens black box and tags.
