We realized $5,775 for an original “Saturn V Flight Manual” dated 25 June 1971 and prepared for the Apollo 15 mission. Manual was published by the Marshall Space Flight Center, who currently leads exploration efforts such as the Space Launch System and the Artemis program. Manual measures 8.25 x 10.75 inches and is over 250pp. in length.

Final NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Surface Operations Plan
Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin conducted experiments on the lunar surface during Apollo 11 that provided revolutionary findings of the Moon’s environment and its relationship to Earth and space. We sold an original Apollo 11 Lunar Surface Operations Plan for $21,000. Manual is dated 27 June 1969 and was published by the Manned Spacecraft Center (MSC). The MSC, now called the Johnson Space Center, has an important role in the development, testing and management of crewed space missions.

Apollo Lunar Module Operations Handbook
We sold an original Apollo Operations Handbook for Lunar Module 6 and subsequent for $18,900. Manual is dated 15 September 1969 and has approval signatures from W.T. Malloy and W.J. Everett on cover. Lunar Module 6 is associated with the Apollo 12 mission that launched on November 14, 1969 with crew members Pete Conrad, Alan Bean and Richard Gordon.

Final Apollo 11 Flight Plan Signed by Michael Collins
We sold a Michael Collins signed final edition of the “Apollo Flight Plan” for $14,954. Flight plan was used by Apollo 11 flight controllers and support personnel, including the 135-page section on flying to the Moon and returning to Earth. Document contains over 320 numbered pages and measures 8 x 10.5 inches complete with the original orange card stock covers. Collins’ autograph was obtained at Spacefest 2019.

Michael Collins Signed Plan for Apollo 11 Lunar Surface Activity
We realized $13,650 for an “Apollo 11 Lunar Surface Operations Plan” signed by astronaut Michael Collins. Original operations plan is secured by two staples, runs 184pp. and contains various fold-out diagrams. Cover is dated 27 June 1969 and was published by Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston, Texas.

Flown Apollo 9 TPI Appendix Signed by James McDivitt
The Apollo 9 mission was the first mission to test a Lunar Module, which was a big success, and also tested the Portable Life Suppot System during a spacewalk. The mission was led by James McDivitt, who had previously served as commander of the Gemini 4 mission. We realized $13,125 for an Apollo 9 flown TPI Appendix that comes from McDivitt’s personal collection. McDivitt also writes “Not needed! / Used Normal With All Systems, Ok.” on front cover.
