1971 Topps Baseball Unopened Wax Box
1971 Topps Baseball box of 24 sealed packs. Box is from the fourth series, which includes Hank Aaron and Nolan Ryan. For the first time in 1957, Topps put full year-by-year statistics for the player’s entire career on the back of the card. Over the next few years, Topps alternated between this format and merely showing the past season plus career totals. The practice of showing complete career statistics became permanent in 1963, except for one year, 1971, when Topps sacrificed the full statistics in order to put a player photo on the back of the card as well. Box sealed in plastic measures approximately 8″ x 7″ x 1.5″. Wear along edges and to corners, overall excellent condition. Sold by us. Worth $70,000 now.

Topps Nolan Ryan Rookie PSA 8
Rookie Stars Topps Card #177 featuring N.Y. Mets pitchers Nolan Ryan and Jerry Koosman. Koosman enjoyed a spectacular rookie season, winning 19 games, but an undervalued Ryan languished on the team and was eventually traded for infielder Jim Fregosi in 1971. Post-Mets, Ryan became one of the best pitchers in history propelling him into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999. And excellent Ryan collectible in PSA 8 condition. Sold by us. Worth $6,500.
