1965 Topps Joe Morgan #16 PSA 9
This is the only recognized rookie card of who many baseball historians consider to be the best second baseman in history. Joe Morgan started his career in Houston with the Colt .45s but, after being traded in 1972, he became a star as a key component to The Big Red Machine in Cincinnati.Morgan showcased his rare blend of power and speed from the second base position, helping lead the Reds to back-to-back World Series titles in 1975 and 1976. In fact, Morgan captured the NL MVP in each of those seasons. Morgan finished his career with a .271 batting average, a .392on-base percentage, 268 home runs, 2,517 hits, 689 stolen bases and five consecutive Gold Gloves to his credit (1972-1976). This 10-time All-Star was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990. Sold for $1,100.
