Wilton Norman Chamberlain was an American basketball player who played as a center an is considered one of the greatest players in history. He played for the Philadelphia/San Francisco Warriors, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played for the University of Kansas and also for the Harlem Globetrotters before playing in the NBA. Chamberlain stood 7ft 1in tall, and weighed 250 pounds as a rookie before bulking up to 275 and eventually to over 300 pounds with the Lakers.

Very scarce original program from Wilt Chamberlain’s legendary performance on 2 March 1962, where he netted an incomprehensible 100 points, the only NBA player to achieve such a record even to this day. The un-televised classic between Chamberlain’s Philadelphia Warriors and the New York Knicks was held at the Hershey Arena on 2 March 1962 — during this game, Chamberlain shot 36 of 63 from the field and completed 28 of 32 free throws. Also during this 1961-62 season, Chamberlain secured his unequaled record of 50.4 points per game. The original program entitled ”The Wigman” features a portrait of Chamberlain on the cover and team line-ups and stats inside. Program measures 7.75” x 10.75” and runs 23pp. Cover is starting to separate at the folds, has light toning and some edge wear. Centerfold with team rosters has been annotated with pencil and pen, apparently by the game’s attendee who checked off Chamberlain’s growing point total. Overall very good condition. A fantastic tribute to Chamberlain’s basketball prowess. Sold for $4,570.

1954 Wilt Chamberlain Trophy
One-of-a-kind trophy presented to NBA legend, Wilt Chamberlain. This beautiful 30″ tall figural trophy is engraved: “Presented To Wilt ‘Stilt’ Chamberlain, For Outstanding Character, Ability, Teamplay Displayed, His ‘FAYS’ Teammates [followed by 11 names]”. In 1954, Chamberlain worked during his summers as a bellhop in a Catskill’s resort named Kutsher’s Country Club, which fielded an employee basketball team called the “FAYS” (coached by Joe Fay) and where Boston Celtics Coach Red Auerbach spotted Chamberlain and tried to recruit him. A rare trophy in very good condition. Sold for $2,500.
