Sell Your 1956 Topps Walt Dropo #238 PSA 10
Walt Dropo was a professional baseball player between 1949 and 1961 for the Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Redlegs and Baltimore Orioles. He had a very successful 1950 season as he was the American League Rookie of the Year with had a batting average of .322, 34 home runs and led the league in RBIs with 144. He was also on the All-Star team that year. Unfortunately, Dropo fractured his wrist in 1951 and never again matched his rookie stats. He tied some impressive records in 1952 that still stand today by getting 12 straight hits in 12 consecutive at-bats and achieved 15 hits in the span of four games. Dropo retired from baseball after a 13 year career after playing 1,288 games with 152 home runs and 704 RBIs.
