Sell Your 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle #311 SGC 80
Mickey Mantle was a professional baseball player for the New New Yankees from 1951 to 1968. The switch-hitting outfielder and eventual first baseman hit for both power and average finishing his seventeen year career with 536 home runs and a batting average of .298. While Mantle was in the spotlight his entire career, the 1961 season was especially historic as he and his fellow teammate Roger Maris both chased Babe Ruth’s single season home run record. Maris would be the one to break this record but Mantle was always the fan favorite. Mantle was a three time MVP in 1956, 1957 and 1962, played in 15 World Series and helped the Yankees win seven World Series titles. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. Mantle wrote the memoir My Favorite Summer 1956 in 1991 about his Triple Crown winning season.
